a safe sanctuary

For Survivors of Domestic Violence
and Sexual Assault

The Restoring Indigenous Safety & Empowerment (RISE) consortium campus

on Prince of Wales Island will serve as a safe sanctuary for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

The campus is tentatively scheduled to open to residents in Fall 2026 with the installation of the first two housing units.

RISE services will be available to anyone in need if space allows, though tribal preference will apply.

RISE will provide temporary short-term shelter.

Through promotion of self-sufficiency, RISE will assist residents as they navigate the path to independence through personal growth and healing opportunities that include:

Job and Vocational Training

Cultural Sharing

Substinence Learning Opportunities

Whole Health Healing

Wellness Support
